The majority of the stones from Burgundy are limestone rocks,more or less resistant, made up from 70 to 80% of calcium carbonate.
These limestone rocks are sedimentary limestones (from sea bottoms or lakes), Jurassic age, and are either of lithographic kind (very thin grains), of oolitic kind (medium grains), or of entrochal kind (waste of marine animals).
Our stones thus offer a large variety of tones (ochre, beige, yellow, off-white, blue grey...), of grades (bright, dark, gilded...) and of grains (from closely fine to thicker).
We have soft stones (for wall cladding), half-hard stones (for flooring with public medium traffic use, and for architectural elements) and hard stones (for flooring with public severe traffic use such as roadway systems).
